The liquid that held the body of a tall slender man with jet black hair slowly drained as the scientists crowded around staring at the being that was slowly coming to life. they had been working on him for nearly a year now trying to get everything right. He had once been a member of the elite team known as the Turks. His gaunt face showed scars from battles next to him in another tank was a younger specimen there newest project along the same lines as the one currently waking. that man to had black hair but his was shorter and his face more filled out. the scientists all looked at each other tensely as they each returned to there monitoring station.
"Good....Now add adrenaline to his system we need to get his heart rate up..." there leader an older man with brown hair said. he was the head scientist for Shin-ra a female scientist complied by typing into her computer. the lab around them was one of the most advanced but since they were delving into the unknown a lot of the computers and objects looked jury rigged together. slowly the glowing red eyes of the man opened at first they were calm but as he seemed to recognize were he was they became more scared wild.
"Shhh shhh...It's ok Cain..." Hollander the head scientist said as he called forth two of the scientists who had been standing by on the sidelines they rushed forwards and worked the twin key safe lock that kept the champers glass containment field down. slowly it begin to rise as the man stumbled forward out of the chamber his eyes glowing brightly.
"Hollander..." he choked out as his eyes narrowed. "What did you do to me!" he growled as he looked down at his clawed hands.
"It is ok Cain...the Experiment was a success" he said smiling at the man who stared at him then suddenly there was darkness.

Cain forced himself awake he didn't need to see it again he knew what happened and it wasn't bad enough he should have done more to them for what they did to him. the tall man stood up his body scarred he stretched lightly putting on his clothing from a dresser drawer. he looked down at his hands they still had long sharp talon like claws. this was what Caios energy did to you it changed you made you less human.
Then as he thought to himself he smirked. maybe he should have thanked Hollander really because now he was perfect. he never aged never got sick and was always strong. this was something the man could be thankful for. however, this didn't stop him from hating everything that had to do with his old life including the humans witch he now used as a food source like a vampire from a long forgotten myth. Cain calmly walked from the door of his apartment. he lived in the largest city on Gaia Midgar. the place was the home base to Shin-ra and that's why he stayed. he smirked to himself licking his lips lightly. he was getting hungry that dream always did this to him.

"Really boys... try harder next time..." The woman smirked as she watched two young men bound away from her with her bright teal eyes. She brushed her pink hair back behind her ears, satisfied with this victory. Tehra knew this city was filled with crime, especially the slums where she always seemed to find herself working. Of course, it was clear why she worked in the slums considering the fact that she marketed herself as a clean up crew. Not clean up for inanimate object messes, but cleanup for human messes. Humans that really didn't deserve to live, kidnappers, rapists, murderers- Tehra had seen it all, killed it all.
Tonight she was sent to take care of these two young men who were petty thieves, nothing difficult for her really. She'd scared them a little then watched as they bolted off. Tehra was content with herself and her job as she mounted her motorbike- a modern model tricked out with everything. Her job paid well, and thus she could live well. Tehra began to ride through the city, taking in the view and seeing what kind of vermin she could see.

Cain found a woman quickly and won her over with his looks and charms always the way he worked. he was a perfect gentleman as he asked her 'back to his place' but she wouldn't get that far. he walked with her towards the fourth sector a place full of old broken down trains and other obsticals. she asked several times if they were going the right way but the tall beautifull man assured her they were and she happily followed. one they got to fourth sector however it was time for his to get to work. he smirked as he turned to her and grabbed her arm the woman became frigtened of his sudden movement
"Uhh..C-cain...maybe I need to go eh heh" she said nervously as the man smirked at her an odd aura seeming to warp around him suddenly as he smiled showing off fangs. he let held out his other hand the one not holding onto her wrist and a long katana like sword with a blood red blade appered in it. a smirk on his face Cain looked at the woman smirking lightly. She suddenly struggled harder trying to get away from this freak. he pulled he however with a great strength and into one of the abandoned trains. he placed his sword on one of the old rotting seats. then slowly produced from his pocket a pair of hand cuffs witch he firmly strapped onto her wrist then onto a bar that use to be used for people who stood to hold onto. then from another pocket he pulled out another set doing the same with her other hand.
"Don't move and this will be over quickly" he said softly as he picked up his sword while she struggled against her bonds her face contorted ugly as she begged for mercy from him. he smirked at her and listened this was something he always loved to hear. there begging for forgiveness.

Tehra continued riding, finding herself deeper and deeper into fourth sector. She knew it may not be wise, but Tehra also had a good deal more materia than most people. She was a hard one to kill, no one had really come close. Tehra pushed her bike harder, speeding it up so the urchins on the side of the road couldn't see her all that well. Her pink hair was a bit obvious, and she didn't want anyone deciding to target her for one reason or another. Tehra wasn't exactly liked in this part of town, but they feared her too. It was unlikely she'd be attacked while riding.
Soon she found herself right in the heart of fourth sector, in an overgrown field filled with various trains and broken down transportation equipment. Tehra figured she must have been in a junkyard or the sort. She slowed down her bike, feeling odd here, like she was missing something she should have seen. The trains were certainly a good place to keep victims... perhaps if she decided to look she would find some of the loved ones of those she killed for.

The woman sobbed as the tall man approached her with his sword held to his side he continued to watch her a smirk on his face. She was just like the rest afraid to die so simple really. Cain had been like that once long ago before he had become what he was now. he continued to watch her cry her body now dangling from the wrists because she could no longer hold herself up on her shaking legs. he brought his long blade up and slashed it verticaly listening to the woman's sob become more panicked as she looked at him through tearfull eyes.
"Do you know why I am doing this?" he asked her. the woman said nothing just continued to cry he smirked and slashed his blade again. "Answer me bitch..." he cursed darkly. she shook her head at him and he smirked.
"Blame Shrin-ra..." he hissed at her softly "They created me...they made me what you see before you...it's funny..." he said looking thoughtfull only causing the girl to sob harder. he knew she found nothing funny in this and that only made him want to laugh even more.
"If they had just left me alone you would be alive...in another two seconds..." he said as he slashed his blade again this time strking flesh. she let out a yelp of pain but he ignored it and walked up to her pulling somthing out of his backpack that he carried with him everywhere. he lungned his sword into her heart and she died. he smirked satisfactorily as her body convulsed for a moment then settled down the blood slowly dripping down the channel in his blade he sat the glass he had pulled from his bag where the blood was flowing to the ground and went to the far end of the train to watch and wait. he needed blood to survive as his body did not produce a certain protein that only was found in blood. but he could do it a much more discreet or gentile way instead he preferred the torment of his 'donators' He absentmindedly licked his hands clean of the blood from the sword strike as he waited.

Tehra heard screaming. She knew she'd done something right by coming here. Perhaps she could save the woman before her kidnapper returned. Tehra revved her engine up once more, riding straight towards the train car she knew it was from. Her senses were well trained to detect the sources of screaming. Soon, she arrived at the cart, killing her bike and grabbing her weapons. She was well armed with her fighting skills, her sword- a materia strengthened blade- and a pistol if necessary, though she preferred to cut flesh, it made the criminals suffer longer.
Cautiously, Tehra slinked inside as the screaming ceased. "It's alright... I'm here to help..." she said gently as she turned the corner, illuminating the room with her small flashlight. Her eyes widened as she saw the butchered woman with the blade funneling blood into a cup. "Shit I'm too late..." she cursed herself, walking up to the woman. "What kind of sick fuck did this...?" Tehra whispered, believing herself to be alone, for the shadows were too dark for her to see the man sitting far at the other end.

Cain watched as a woman tore into his hiding place and he stared at her as she checked his prey for life.
"She's dead...." he said slowly as he stood up walking towards her his lightly glowing red eyes looking her over. she was very beautiful and made him smirk at her. he walked past her to the body and gathered up his cup putting it to his lips as if she were not there his other hand pulling the blade from the woman's chest in one fell swoop.
"Who are you" he said finally after he drained the blood from the cup and whipped the rest from his lips stowing it back into the pack laying at the woman's feet.

Tehra could hardly speak to answer his question, she was so surprised by his presence and so horrified by his actions. So he was the sick fuck. A handsome one to be sure, but Tehra had learned long ago not to trust people from these parts of town- she especially wouldn't trust someone who had just drained an innocent life and drunken her blood. "....Tehra..." she said after a while of taking him in "I'm a bit of an assasin for hire, I'm the cops this city fails to have.... basically I kill criminals..." Tehra met his eyes, though she was a bit nervous "You? Who are you and why the fuck did you just kill her so viciously and drain her like so...?"

"Me...now isn't that brave of you to ask that to someone whom you know is a killer..." he said his blade still in his hand as he slung his bag onto his back and looked at her with a sick smirk.
"I am something like A vampire...." he said running a hand through his bangs "And if you mean to capture me...ell lets just say your out classed...but your a pretty little thing aren't you..." he said looking her over his eyes following her every curve as he walked closer to her he put a hand on her sholder and forced her roughly into the wall of the train his hands were strong for how lean he looked. he smirked as he licked his lips lightly taking her in.
"Yes a stunning....little mouse..." he said a smirk on his face. "you sneak about trying to be brave but really you seem the type who is afraid to be caught by the snake who is just around the next corner" he said his bright red eyes looking into hers there glow caused both by the mako that coursed through his vains but also becuse of the chaotic energy.

Tehra gasped as he backed her into the wall, shocked at his forwardness. "Thank you for the compliment... but no I'm not a coward. There hasn't been a criminal I've been sent after that I can't take. I'm not the fearful type...." she said as she held his gaze, her teeth nearly bared. Tehra wasn't about to back down from this freak. "Now then.... you must be full after doing that..." Tehra said nodding to the body in handcuffs, though she herself was not able to move all that much "so why don't we just go our separate ways and I'll do my best not to follow you home tonight..."

"Becuse you still think I am another mouse..." he said smirking at her still pushing ever closer his body fully touching hers his breath was hot on her face as he spoke next. "I am the snake little mouse....and I think i would like nothing better then to devour you" he said smirking as his eyes bored into hers. he smirked again and slowly from his back a wing sprouted it's black feathers scattering everywhere as he looked at her.
"youv'e met you match mouse...now what are you going to do" he said the wing taking up most of the room in the abandoned train. "There are things our there that you have never imagined in your wildest dreams...and i am one of them"

The lovely assasin didn't like this. She didn't like being cornered by a maniac, or being called out for a coward simply because she'd never left the city. "If any devouring is going to go on here.... it'll be me destroying you. You are what I live for... finding the sick fucks like you out in the world..." She said, her eyes ablaze as she pushed back against him, pushing herself against him, almost as if reasserting her power. Tehra leaned in closely, her lips beside his ear, her breath hot on his neck "And destroying them..." She whispered ever so softly, barely a breath "understood?"

Cains smirk only widened as she threatened him his feathers falling lightly into her head. she had no clue what she was dealing with then again not many people did. Cain was not normal maybe he had been back them before the experiments but now he was something else entirely. he breathed in heavily as he took her sent to his heart.
"Really kill people like me..." he said softly grabbing her wrist with his incredible strength and pushing it up into the wall his other hand doing the same with her other wrist. "you kill people like me...that seems...impossible because you don't know what people like me are..." he smirked enjoying this attention.

A weaker person would have panicked in that moment, but Tehra did not. She gasped slightly, simply surprised by the sudden pressure on her wrists. "By people like you I meant killers and maniacs..." she said simply, still speaking and glaring with a bite no normal woman would have in the face of this obvious psychopath. "But perhaps you should enlighten me on what you mean, perhaps it will explain the barbaric blood ritual I was unlucky enough to witness..." Tehra didn't know how she could manage the courage to speak in such a way to him, but she did. She also found she was hyper aware of his hands touching her skin, his body pressed against hers. At least with pinning her, he couldn't stab her without her knowing he was going to first, giving her a chance to escape if he so decided.

"Now why would i tell a mouse like you my history..." he said loooking her in the eyes as if challenging her to break under his will. he then smirked again showing off his long fangs that could of easily been used to drain the woman's blood. he body was still hanging there behind them swaying lightly in the handcuffs.
"Ritual...Interesting choice of words...I call it survival...granted that way" he smirked motioning to the dead body "Is much more appeasing to me then the alternative. he let his wing fold up behind him lightly as he let her go and pulled away lightly. "I was once a Turk I am sure you have heard of them at least mouse..." he said looking at her with his blood red eyes.

Tehra's eyes widened slightly as he mentioned him being a turk. That would explain his 'people like you' spiel, but it didn't explain the blood. "Survival? Are you telling me you have to drink blood like a... vampire or something?" She asked as she grabbed a stray sheet from around the compartment, covering the body. She didn't want to look at it. All the while she covered it, Tehra kept a close eye on Cain though. "And how come gutting people is so... appeasing you say? Thats rather disturbing. You never told me your name..." She said simply, using conversation to distract him from wanting to kill her.

Cain sat down on the bench watching her cover the body with a smirk his legs crossed and his hand resting on his cheek.
"I worked for Shinra quite happily at first...rose the ranks quickly..." he said nonchalantly the entire time his eyes trained on her his free hand resting lightly on the blade that sat next to him his giant wing folded to his body. "Mouse what do you think of Shin-ra?" he said softly almost dangerously as he continued to look at her and the now swinging sheet. he had plenty of time to play with this one she wasn't running maybe she though if he talked he wouldn't kill her or maybe she was just one of those types.

Tehra turned to him, her mind focused on several escape routes she had already planned. She noticed he had his hand on his blade, and she wasn't about to let him kill her. "I don't quite know. I've heard they've done lots of nasty things, and I don't agree with that, but I try to avoid them mostly, run my business and my life without their intereference." She said simply, though Tehra sensed the growing tension in the room. "And if you are wondering... I'm not going to die tonight..." Tehra said, her teal eyes shooting to his hand on his blade, then back to his beautiful face. Tehra was close to the exit, but she dared not look at it. That would only make him block it.

Cain looked at her and started to chuckle to himself
"A mouse cannot chose when it becomes a snakes food...only the snakes a superior entity can chose the outcome for the mouse..." he said looking at her with a small grin that was odd to say the least like the smile of a demon.
"I am the Superior entity in this room as such I decided your fate....so maybe I will choose to let you live but that is highly doubtful..." he said looking down at his long clawed hand the other still on the blade. "If you want to know what drives me maybe if you live you should find there old records...I heard they keep them in a mansion somewhere in nibelhiem...but that's half way across the world mouse..." he chuckled again.

Tehra kept her cold hard gaze on him. "I am not a mouse, so please stop it with that..... Look I'll check the records if I so please, but I'd need your name to do it and you have no right to decide my fate. I'm the only one that does that, and thats how its going to stay..." She said simply. Tehra figured it was time, no matter how fascinating it was talking to this madman, or how badly she wanted to kill him, she knew she could not stay here much longer. He would grow impatient and soon stick that blade through her skin.
Tehra turned and bolted out the door, running to her motorbike as fast as she could. At least it was nearby. She would reach it quickly, hopefully too quickly for him to catch her. Tehra didn't want to be the next woman caught in those handcuffs.
