His long jet black hair was pulled back into a long ponytail as he walked down the halls of the castle like school. He was concidered one of the scarier students with his black outfit and dark long hair. only his eyes witch were crystal blue were light. he was known around the school by several names but the most common was the summoner teacher's son. on his right arm was an odd golden device that seemed to be almost alien. otherwise the man was quite handsome in a completely dark way. As he walked the halls a few of the lower class students jumped out of his way. He looked at them with a light glare and sighed to himself.
Despite Kaze's look he personally was a nice guy.

"What in god's name is that?" Elayna muttered to the girl next to her, her deep blue eyes taking in the sight of the man that apparently thought he was something special "Is that a boy who thinks he's a prince....?" She asked, again, where he couldn't hear but her friend giggled. Elayna absentmindedly brushed a strand of her auburn straight hair from her face, meeting eyes with him once, then looking back to her friend, for the girl had spoken.
"Oh that? That's Kaze.... he's really tough. We just try to stay out of his way." The girl whispered, even though that were out of earshot, ushering the new girl onward, before she said something to Kaze- which you just didn't do. "C'mon let's get you to the first class of the day." The girl, smiled, thinking little more of Kaze, though Elayna's mind continued going on.
He seemed to be markedly different than everyone else here, and likewise did Elayna. Her body was fitter, her muscles stronger, than most of the girls here. Her weapon, too, was better- chakrams, a challenge to use, but deadly none the less. Elayna had come here from nearly the other side of the country, moving because her father wanted a change of scenery- after her mother's death, Elayna's father had never been the same. So he'd moved away from the land he had known with her, and enrolled his daughter here, so that she would be strong enough not to die, as her mother had, when a group of bandits decided to attack. But Elayna thought little of that, it had been a few years, and she was now on a quest to become stronger.

He continued to walk noticing the two girls who where speaking with each other just out of his ear shot, but he knew who they were talking about. It was always the same really he didn't know why but people seemed to instantly fear him. Even though he apricated the respect it was still a little disconcerting. When he was younger a few years before he had been a trouble maker for the teachers even his own father who tried his hardest to keep his son in line, but Kaze could careless about that man. In fact he had never really known his father as he had lived with his grandmother most of his life. Well, him and his twin brother. He frowned darkly and just looked away from the girls. If they wished to talk about him behind his back then what ever.
He continued to walk into his classroom. first period was summoning with his father who watched as Kaze slowly walked into the room and sat down a glare on his face.
"Ahh son.." he said lightly trying to get his sons attention. Kaze ignored the man and looked out the window. "...fine..." his father muttered lightly and sat down staring at his son who hated him more then anyone else in this world.

Elayna took her seat, listening to the chatter of the people around her as they saw the new student. She didn't much mind being new, people spoke to her, she spoke to people. Elayna had never been shy, that was certain. She spoke when necessary, though her mind was largely on the handsome, enigmatic boy she's passed in the hallway. Elayna was a little bit interested in him, but really just interested in why everyone allowed themselves to be frightened by him. He didn't seem all that scary.
After the teacher called the class to attention- a martial arts class, her mind was quickly turned over to the course itself, and that black haired stranger disappeared from her thoughts for at least an hour as she sparred to show her strengths. And then the bell rang, Elayna grabbed her things, and went to her next class. Something about guns. Sounded fun.
Elayna found the class easily enough, and took a seat in a spot the teacher said was open, and so she waited, to see how this class would fair and who she would meet this time.

Kaze slowly walked into the classroom. he hated his classes really. The only time he wasn't under his fathers thumb was in PE but yet again he had a class with the man who abandoned him as a child. Kaze looked at the older man and sat down in the back his long black bangs falling into his eyes lightly. Kaze was one of those people who just seemed to extrude a feeling of evil, maybe it was because his aura was blacker then black thanks to his two parents who both had dark energy. however, it was also as likely to be caused by the death glare he wore when ever in class. either way he was often skidded around by more cautious students.
"Good to see everyone..." he heard his father say and his face darkened even more. "we have a new student..." the man who looked like a carbon copy of himself spoke. unlike his son the teacher Kaze was seen as one of the nice teachers he was only hard on you if you were being an idiot. Thus it made him liked by most of his classes.

"Hi... I'm Elayna..." Elayna said as she looked up from the doodle she'd been drawing when she heard her instructor mention the new student, obviously her. Here it was, the attention by the more social students and the likely being ignored by the dark boy in the back. She had seen him walk in yes, but she wasn't going to pleasure him by acting scared of him and averting her eyes. She'd just ignore him. Elayna glanced around the room, catching a few eyes and a few smiles, returning them, then looked back at the front, wondering if the man planned on introducing her further.
She was surprised however how striking the resemblence was between the teacher and Kaze. They had to have been related, there was no way they weren't, not with a resemblance like that. She smiled at the teacher, saying nothing. The attention had been done, and now she supposed it was time to learn and continue being amused by the brooding boy in the corner.

The teacher waited for the final dregs of the class to filter. then announced there assignment.
"A good gunner always challenges themselves to shoot farther and better then anyone else...so competition is actually welcomed in this exercise..try your best to out do your partner" he said looking around at the class who nodded lightly. "I will assign you into pairs...." he muttered writing on the board in front of the class. He looked deep in thought as he wrote down the names of the pairs. Several times he erased a name and placed it elsewhere until it ended up next to Elayna's. The name was Kaze. the sulking teen looked up at the board non-chalantly and frowned at the choice his father had made. he didn't even raise his hand to speak next.
"Your an idiot..." he growled at the man. "Why would you put your top student in competition with a yet to be seen newcomer...It would be no good for wither party..." he said glaring at the man. the older Kaze sighed exasperated and looked at his son with a whimsical smile.
"Simply put son..." he said staring down the younger Kaze. "no one else would work with you" he growled the last words in annoyance at his son. Kaze glared at him and suddenly pulled one of his guns on his father from deep withing his half cloak he wore. Kaze looked at it unphazed.
"...go ahead we both know the outcome of this..." he muttered lightly to his son. Kaze growled darkly and put the gun away.
"Fuck you..." he growled.

"If it were to do anything...." Elayna said with a grin "It would build your already through the roof ego up even more because obviously someone like you...." She looked Kaze up and down "could easily kick my ass...." she chuckled to herself, having a small experience with guns, but not as much as with her chakrams. Elayna knew he'd probably beat her, but she really didn't much care. She was here to learn her skills, not impress Kaze. "Ya ready? I promise I'm not THAT bad of a partner...." Elayna smirked softly, waiting to get on with it.

"...I do not have an ego" the younger Kaze suddenly turned to the girl with a glare. of all the people in this school he was one of the few who did not have an ego. He knew what he could do and he knew what he couldn't. He was a Kaze and that simply put meant there was no one in this school except his father who was more deadly with a gun. He had been trained since he was young to use a gun and had pushed himself to the edge and back. "...to pair someone who is untested with someone who had ample practice only does two things...It bored the more experienced person and it deters the untested one." he growled turning to look at his father with that comment.
"...my choice is final..." the older kaze frowned darkly at his son. he then turned to the class.
"Follow me to the shooting range..." he said walking over to an adjoining door opening it up to what looked like a police shooting range.

"Oh do not fear Kaze...." Elayna said, undettered by his nasty comment. "I will not be deterred, I honestly could care less how I measure up to you, I'm an expert with my weapon of choice and these other weapons I just choose to use for extra trainign. I do not intend to conquer the apparently great Kaze with my skills." She said, continuing to grin. Though her words were snarky, it was obvious she just had a light hearted sense of comedy about the situaton. Elayna found most of life amusing, and the rest of it she'd handle when the time arose.
"Well then... let's go get this going then shall we? That will your boredom will cease sooner." Elayna finished, walking into the range.

Kaze glared at the girl then crossed his arms with a slightly annoyed huff. He hated his father more then anything and right now was yet another reason to hate him.
"What ever" he growled at the girl his dark bangs falling into his face as he walked after her soon everyone was lined up in neat pairs of two in front of the targets. there were a few guns for those who did not have any, but in this school most students carried there own weapons. Kaze was no exception on his belt loop was a holster holding a large six shoot handgun and for extra assurance he had hidden in his half cloak about three dozen small one shooters. he pulled off his handgun with his only usable hand his left and rested his right arm on his shoulder as he pointed to the target with his left.
"Alright...start when you are ready...each partner takes one shot then the other tries to get closer to the center then the last..." the teacher said walking down the line correcting peoples stances. Kaze didn't let the man get to him as he held his gun sideways often seen more with gang punks then sharpshooters. he took his shot and hit dead center with a frown.

Elayna pulled the desert eagle type gun from her belt, sighing and aiming at the target, holding the gun with both hands. She took aim, and shot. Elayna hit rather close to the center, showing she wasn't a beginner, but she wasn't perfect. Had she thrown her chakram, it would have been cut straight down the middle. But this was a gunner class, not a chakram class. She did well, but there was no way she'd beat Kaze. Elayna knew that.
"Got any tips for me then? Might as well use this time wisely." she asked, losing her joking tone. She was honestly sucking it up and trying to keep Kaze from completely hating her, because they'd likely be partnered up a lot if his dad had his way.

Kaze looked down at her as he was an extremely tall man. his eyes were as clear as ice a frown lightly on his face.
"....your stance it fine...you just need to learn your gun better...you can have the best stance in the world and still miss if you don't know your gun's drift...how far the bullet is off target...best bet is to ignore you sight and think of lining up the barrel's exit point with the center of the target..." he said as he shot once again it looked as if he might have missed if not for the light shaking of the paper. he had hit dead on again his bullet passing right through the whole he had previously made.

Elayna nodded as he said them. At least he hadn't answered meanly or rudely. Progress. Small Steps. "Alright... that makes sense..." She said, lining up the barrel and firing once more, this time it was much closer, it made Kaze's hole bigger on one side. "Hey that actually worked... a little more practice and maybe I'll get it.... thanks kaze...." She smiled at him softly, knowing he wouldn't be friendly yet.

Kaze nodded curtly he had nothing against her but rather his father his eyes slowly dirfted over to the man who was teaching one of the girl his perfected stance. he smirked to himself yeah it increased the accuracy a bit but like he said. you can have the best stance in the world and still be a horrible shot. the only thing in the world that made Kaze smirk to himself was watching his father being an idiot.

Elayna's eyes followed where Kaze's had gone, thought she watched his face. That man was obviously his dad, and they obviously had problems. She didn't know what they were obviously, but they were interesting. Elayna turned her eyes away, she felt like she was watching some family drama not meant for public viewing. So she went back to the target, making Kaze's hole bigger all the way around, but having yet to get it through the center.

Kaze continued to watch his father with distaste. his eyes watching every little thing the man did in order to commit it to memory and never repeat what he did. slowly the rest of the class continued to get better but Kaze seemed to remain unchanged as he watched. there was one thing Kaze vowed to do and that was never repeat the mistakes of his father. he slowly turned his attention to his partner. he watched as she shot and had to admit she wasn't bad but she wasn't perfect either

"I could be worse...." Elayna said, turning to him as she noticed him watching her again "but I could be better too. I'll get there. " she smiled, reloading the gun after all the shots. "So is this a good school Kaze? Obviously I just moved here, so I don't know..." She said as she continued reloading the weapon. Kaze wasn't THAT scary, what was everyone worried about?

Kaze shrugged at her question he had never really thought about it this school was the only one he had ever gone to when he was a child he had never been to school instead his grandmother had trained him. He had gotten good at what he did fast becuse of her and her so called training. He had been forced to run until his legs gave out and if she thought that wasn't far enough she would make him do it again. she shuddered at the thoughts.
"Don't know..." he said shortly. his blue eyes seemed to be filled with some sort of strange emotion as his eyes slowly inched over to his father a sheen of anger glancing over them.

'Man that boy has one hell of an issue with his family....' Elayna thought to herself, looking at the expression in his eyes, wanting to ask, knowing not to. Instead she asked something else, something she wanted to know. "So earlier, I passed you in the hall and asked my friend why the students avoid you. She just said that they just did.... Could you enlighten me?" Elayna asked, looking at him, knowing it was likely dangerous ground "I mean... you don't seem scary... just focused.
