He was considered by almost everyone who met him to be nothing more then a gentile man but deep down inside he had never felt that way. the only thing Shen felt was guilt, guilt for what he did every time Shen's weakness kicked in. He sat in the dimly lit coffee shop as headlights slowly washed past him a Coffee clutched in his slender hands. his long silvery hair was tied over his shoulder in a braid his clothing a black and red business suit.
"Sir we're closing soon" the barrista with her brightly dyed hair said giving him a look half way between annoyance and confusion. She almost saw him yet like everyone else she looked right through him. He had once been famous but no one remembered when they saw him the magic of a demi-god who wished to be forgotten. Shen nodded and smiled kindly at the woman.
"I apologize" he said in his normal congenial tone as he slowly stood laying a heavy tip at his table before looking at the woman again. the woman watched as if in a daze as he walked through the door in his elegant manner and into the streets that were being dusted by snow.

She pulled the fitted jacket more tightly around her and pulled the hood up over her crimson locks. Snow dotted the red curls that managed to escape the hood's warm cover, and it was too cold for the light flakes to melt on contact. So they made their home in her curls, white dotting across the bright red. She didn't much mind as she walked the streets with the glow of fresh snow around her.
Rynn's flat, warm, furry boots covered her pants to the knee and made indentions in the quickly piling powder. She rubbed her hands together- though she'd though to wear her warm coat and her warm boots, Rynn had overlooked the gloves. She walked alone on the nearly empty street, her striking emerald eyes cast down at the footprints she made as she walked. The beautiful woman hummed a soft tune to herself as she trekked her way to the all night pizza restaurant that she frequented when her body informed that she was hungry at eleven o clock at night.
The time didn't matter to her so much- what was time to a cat demon that had been around long enough to know life before the invention of bricks? One night certainly didn't mean much, unless it was one of those nights that made a huge difference and caused a huge change- there were plenty of those too, however. Rynn pulled herself from her thoughts, however, when she heard the bells of a coffeeshop door closing right before her. A man had walked out, and Rynn had nearly run into him. "Oh... I'm sorry sir...." She said in her soft tones, casting her grass green eyes from his chest, which she'd nearly hit, to his eyes.

Shen had the type of eyes that caused people to stare when he had been in the spotlight he had explained away there blood red hues as a sign of albinoism an excuse that worked very well becuse his long ankle length hair was the same color as the snow that settled in it as he stared down at the woman.
"Excuse me" he said in his deep kind voice. there was a gentleness to his eyes that seemed to radiate a light confusion. "I must have not been paying attention to where I was heading" he gave her one of his soft smiles as he ran a hand through his semi-long bangs.

"Oh don't worry about it.... its quite alright." Rynn said smiling, her words trailing off as she met his gaze. His eyes took her aback as did the combination with his hair. The voice didn't match up, but the eyes and the hair certainly did- not to mention those devastatingly handsome looks. But it couldn't be.... wouldn't be... he would have had a bigger reaction. She shook it off as a shiver went through her body. Rynn had to ask... had to test the waters. "Have we.... have we met before?" She asked, venturing further than she would have thought possible if this were truly the situation it looked like. But it couldn't be....
......though there certainly was a strong resemblance....

Shen looked at her and pulled back slightly.
"I don't believe so" he said with a light frown. he would have remember such a beautiful creature but she looked fermilluar to him for another reason. they weren't clones but she resembled someone he had loved once a young fox demon whom he had almost spent eternity with had it not been for his captors the angles to decided to kill two birds with one stone. "you are quite pretty however I believe I would remember someone who looks like she could be a lovely queen" he said crossing his arms lightly as he looked at her.
"Let me apologise for my bumping into you...how about, well I would say coffee but they just closed I think there is a pizza place near by" shen gave her a charming smile as he looked at her.

"You are too kind..." She said with a laugh- acting at ease but still wary. The man he looked like wouldn't hide who he was from her, but the resemblance was almost scary. And he had used the word queen.... that struck a cord in her. Golgoth had always used that word. She shook it off again, trying to put it away. This man sounded different and acted different- considering he hadn't so much as touched her, and Golgoth would have done that by now. She'd know.
After another moment in her mind, Rynn returned to answer Shen's offer. She knew it was probably a way to get a date, but she was headed there anyhow and who turned down free pizza? "Actually its a funny thing," Rynn said with a smile "I was walking to that very pizza place now to get a late dinner... so I would love your company. Oh!" She started, remembering "My name is Rynn"

"Oh yes names it sometimes slips my mind" Shen said with a chuckle his red eyes reflecting his mirth. Shen had extremely expressive eyes. "My name is Shen" he said as he held his arm out to her.
"Let me escort you fair lady" he Joked lightly he was happy to have something to take his mind off of other matters for awhile and this young woman was quite pretty.

Rynn's smile brightened as Shen's did. She took his arm and began to walk with him. "Nice to meet you Shen. So...." Rynn said as they walked, trying to think of questions to keep the conversation moving. Maybe if she learned more about him, her mind would put itself more at ease. "How long have you lived here in Darkstar City?" she asked, starting with the most basic of questions.
There was something exciting about meeting someone new that's a complete stranger. She knew nothing about him, and he knew the same about her. Rynn could really be anyone she wanted- of course that worked both ways, he could say whatever he wanted too. That was a little scary, but that was where the fun in life came from, wasn't it? Maybe a little new energy could spice up her rather dull life...

Shen walked with her and thought about her question then laughed lightly.
"Well...I suppose I have been here for quite sometime..." he said lightly not giving a number because truth was he had lived in this city off and on for maybe 80 years much to long for his appearance. "it feels like forever" he mused keeping step with her the snow seemed to drift around them lightly like the feathers of an angel.
"What about you Miss Rynn-chan" she chuckled lightly

"Well....." Rynn said, drawing out the world slightly to think of a response. She'd been alive longer than humanly possible, and that wasn't something you exactly told someone on a first date. "I was here when I was younger, then I went to a few other countries for a short while and came back for now. I don't know where I'll end up permanently, but for now Darkstar works for me. " Rynn spoke, finally settling on an answer. It was completely true, she had just neglected to say how long she'd lived in those other places- France, Italy, London, US for a bit. Really more like a lifetime in each, but he didn't need to know that.
The smell of pizza filled her nose, and Rynn smiled softly to herself- remembering how hungry she really was. They were close, luckily- the cold was beginning to soak through to her slender figure.

Shen noted the smell of pizza on the air and quickened there pace.
"We are almost there and it is getting quite cold out here" he said almost saying what she had been thinking quickly they where at the pizzeria a large sign was only partially illuminated. he unlocked his arm from hers and walked to the door holding it open for her with a gentile smile.
"After you" he spoke softly motioning for her to enter. Shen still lived by the knights code of Chivalry after all he had been there when it had been created

"Why thank you Shen..." She said with a smile, rushing in to get out of the cold. Rynn shivered as the last pieces of snow melted off of her. She looked around the warmly lit pizzeria, with its yellow glow and dark wooden booths and seats. It was a very westernized place, but Rynn had taken a liking to pizza when it had first come around. "Well do you have a preference- booth or table?" She smiled at him softly, her full lips regaining their color as her body warmed up.

Shen looked about him the look that graced his eyes was like one of childhood wonder he looked at her and smiled kindly.
"well not really so it is your choice" he smiled lightly.

"Then I suppose its a booth.... I think they are so much more comfortable." Rynn asked the waitress for a booth and the woman smiled and sat them down, though her eyes did linger on Shen for a moment longer- but that was no surprise, he was quite handsome. The waitress handed them menus. Rynn took her seat and perused the menu. They had the usual options- slices vs. whole pizzas and some pasta too.
"Would you prefer a whole pizza to share or each getting a couple of separate slices...?" Rynn asked, casting her bright green eyes up at the red eyed man before her, her curls drying from the snow and regaining their bounce.

Shen hated to make choice thus her question caused his otherwise smiling face to frown lightly as his striking red eyes looked over the menu infront of them.
"hmmn well I suppose a whole pizza would be fine" he said witch a chuckle. " Then I can tell all my friends I shared my food with a godess" he said all in good fun. When Shen made his comments it was more like an old friend complimenting you then a man who was looking for a date. he pushed his long braid back behind him and it tumbled onto the booth with a soft thump.

"A whole pizza it is then!" Rynn said with a grin. "Now the choice is what kind....." she smirked softly, wondering how he would handle this decision. She was getting more comfortable around him, he was acting less and less like Golgoth. "And I highly doubt I am a goddess...." she said with a small chuckle, brushing a rabid curl from her face as their drinks arrived.

"Well if not a goddess at least a Queen" he said as he looked at the menu in a lightly bored manor trying to wriggle out of making yet another decision.
"It all looks fine to me so what ever you wish to get" he said with a light smirk looking at her wondering if she would notice he was trying to slip out of making a choice.

And there it went, the comfort. She shuddered as the word slipped from his lips. Rynn hoped it didn't show on her face, though the sparkle of her emerald eyes did falter a little as she turned them back upon the menu. "Pepperoni work for you then?" She said, covering it up well and returning to her usual candor. "So... what are your interests or hobbies...?" Rynn asked.
'And I swear if he says anything similiar to Golgoth I'm going to seriously have to consider moving to Egypt!'

"Well I like Music" Shen said noting the falter in her eyes with a concerned look in his. "But other then that I tend to pursue different interests traveling and the like" he shrugged lightly as he looked at the menu then he remembered what she had first asked.
"Ohh and Peperoni will be quite fine" he smiled gently.

She saw something flash across his eyes, but had no idea what it was. Rynn caught her mind back under control and flagged the waitress down. She placed the order for the pepperoni pizza and turned her emerald gaze back upon Shen, hoping and praying he truly wasn't Golgoth in disguise. "Music? I love music.... do you sing or play anything?" she asked, curious now.
