Name: Hiroto Toyama
Age: 17
DOB: May, 25 1990
Gender: Male
Homeworld: Yu-yu Hakasho
Race: Meta-Human
Appearance: Hiroto stands at 5’ 9” weighs in at 210lbs. (all muscle) and his hair and eyes are both chestnut brown. He takes after his father in looks, with his chiseled features and eyes that bore right through people. He always wears a red bandana and a dark green backpack. Usually one can see the head of his silver tabby cat Aranya peeking out of the top pocket, unless he’s holding her. The backpack also rattles much like skeletons in old cartoons…hmmm. His clothes are usually consists of a dark t-shirt, cargo pants and sneakers. In colder weather he dons a blue down jacket. He always wears sneakers.
Personality: Loud, brash, and doesn’t back down from any fight. He’s a no nonsense guy who won’t mince words. If you ask his opinion, be prepared for it. While he may be cold at times he isn’t insensitive although any act of kindness he performs will be covered up by gritty manly excuses. He does seem to care for his cat more than any one else however and can be seen talking with her regularly. (Schizophrenia ftw. XD) He calls her “woman” almost as much as “Aranya” and is extremely over protective of her.
Special Powers:
Bone Staff: Hiroto has the ability to dissolve and then reassemble bones into different shapes. By concentrating on the stash of bones in his backpack Hiroto can change them into a five foot staff. The construction of said weapon takes four seconds. The construction starts with a fine powder rising from Hiroto’s backpack and then begins swirling around his hand until the construction is done. The staff is unadorned and is bleach white. Should the staff be broken it will revert to the bones that constructed it and they will all be broken and totally useless. If this happens to often Hiroto will be forced to go grave robbing to keep his bone stash high enough.
Connection to Aranya: Being a reincarnated spirit with such a connection to Hiroto has its perks. The connection allows the two to communicate as though they were of the same species. The two don’t change the way they talk in any way; they just talk. This does not mean that Hiroto can communicate with spirits or other cats. Nor does it mean that Aranya can communicate with other humans. I mean she’s a cat. Cats don’t talk.
Equipment: Shovel: Hiroto also keeps a regular dirty old shovel in his closet. Its purpose is know only to himself and Aranya. (See History)
History: Hiroto’s parents weren’t the loving type. Constant quarrels erupted between the two without the slightest provocation. Hiroto learned to deal with it early on; hanging out with the wrong crowd just to get away from it. His younger sister, Mariko, couldn’t do that however. So Hiroto would stay at the house, looking after his little sister like she was his own daughter. Whenever his parents did take time out of their work and arguing schedules to notice them they treated them like scum and little children; even when Hiroto was 15 and Mariko was 11. So Hiroto started calling his sister “woman”; not as an insult but as a sign of adulthood. She visibly improved in the months to come; staying with new friends for many days to Hiroto’s joy. It seemed like everything would work out.
Then Hiroto’s “friends” came a calling. Hiroto’s “friends” were actually a group of metas who used their powers to do whatever they chose. Hiroto owed them a debt for saving him from an enemy gang and so they made a house call. After blowing the front door off its hinges, scaring his parents and sister to death, and beating the crap out of Hiroto the metas learned he didn’t have their money. So they took their payment in the form of “fun” instead. Hiroto had no choice but to watch as they tortured and killed his father. Then they moved onto his mother, how she screamed when they raped her… And his sister…little Mariko died without a scream. Even as the one man took her virginity she still stared at them with a deep hatred and a fire in her eyes. She was a woman to the end…
Hiroto was saved. He was in the ICU for two weeks and had to be in a wheelchair for three. The funeral for his family was held while he was still in the ICU; that was also his sixteenth birthday. After being discharged he mourned for a week and a half. His parents had left everything to him and his sister; a lot of good that did. Then on the eleventh day of mourning something absolutely wondrous happened. Hiroto was crying in his sister’s room next to her bed when a golden ray of light shot through the window. From out of the light stepped a silver tabby cat. Hiroto stared dumbstruck through all of it. Then it spoke. “I am the reincarnation of your deceased sister. I have been allowed to accompany you through the rest of your mortal life with my consciousness at the level of a human and with all of my past memories in tact. Your life is now my life Hiroto.” Hiroto burst out crying once more; wrapping the cat in his arms and sobbing his sister’s name. “I apologize,” the female cat said, “but because this is a new life for me so to must I have a new name. I am Aranya.”
And so after the rest of the three weeks were up, Hiroto paid off all of the medical and gang debts he owed with the money his parents left him. (156,287 bucks) Then after purchasing all the supplies he needed for school, including grave robbing some bones, he set off for the new world beyond his portal with Aranya by his side. Well actually in his backpack but you get the point.
