The city of July, there were many things that could and had been said about this massive city. Some considered it the Mecca of Humanity on this desert planet that had been infected with the species. Others considered it the very core of that dark under belly to every thing that was the human race. For every marvelous thing in the city, there were ten other deceptive and monstrous things.
What was known was that it had at one time been the largest and most wealthy city on the planet. Though, times were changing for the worse and this was the first city to be obviously hit by it. The good people were becoming fewer and fewer in this place and the evil men and women were over flowing the streets. Because of this the city piece by piece was decaying away into a cultural pool of human feces of the worst kind.
The streets of the city were as busy as ever though all the decent people were hurrying down these streets. It was only the corrupt ones that were taking their sweet time down the filthy streets. Those like the pimps and the gangs, and the whores, and every other small time crook that had slithered into the city limit. Even the few police that walked the streets either hurried along like all the other decent people or were able to walk casually, having been paid off.
On one of these streets walked a man that was in hurry, but it was up for debate whether he was good or not. One thing was certain about him; he looked like he was far from a good mood or from this planet. The man's wolf like eyes had an almost eerie glow to them from behind his black thick framed reading glasses. He looked like he was a teenager, some where around the age of sixteen years old one might assume.
This teenaged man stood at five feet and seven inches, and he had a rather puny build to him. Far from being any thing that resembled a fighter in body though he wasn't just skin and bones either. His attire consisted of a black business suit and a white buttoned up shirt underneath the jacket, leather dress shoes on his feet. As well as to top off his look was a black bow tie and his shoulder length black hair slicked back with some kind of gel.
A few of the people that were also on the street looked at him in passing, though most paid him no mind. More so because both of his hands were holding some thing, his left held a paper bag full of some thing. While his right hand held some thing else, it had the silver wolf head of a black cane that he was using at the moment. It was barely noticeable, but he had a slight hobble to his walk that would probably explain why he was using a cane at his age.
There was a small piece of note pad paper taped to the bag he was carrying; it looked like it had stores listed. Each of them seemed to be involving in some way technology that this planet had. Though they were far from as advanced as their ancestors, they still were fairly advanced in some areas. Why a young man like him would be interested in such items would be left up for debate.
Again he checked the address listed to ensure he was going to the right place, and looked up a moment later. Not ten seconds after looking up he spotted what he had next on the list on the paper. Quickly he looked both ways and scurried across the road, and made it to the other side without any worry. A soft sigh of relief escaped from between his lips and his eyes scanned over the entrance of the store.
Before they could finish looking it over he was suddenly bumped into and it resulted in him nearly falling. Luckily he managed to catch his balance with his cane and pushed off of it, he looked around swiftly. He spotted who bumped into him, some blonde haired fool that wore a red trench coat and was holding some informational paper. "Watch where you're going!" the young man hissed at the blonde, who looked at him and blinked a few times.
As the blonde chuckled nervously and waved to the person before he started to walk again the young man looked back. First he made sure he hadn't dropped any thing and then tried to take in the building again. It was one of the more famous steam engine parts shop in the world, it even sold parts for those new types of trains. Those ones he thought reminded him more of most dimensions' cruise ships than actual trains, but thought their parts might be useful to study.
In a hurry he moved to the door and opened it, a bell rung with a jingle when he did so. The store was quite large and almost resembled more of a book store than some kind of body shop. He stepped through the door way and shut the door behind him before he turned back around. That wolf like eyes looked over the various items as he started to make his way through the store.
