The man let out a soft sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair, the shoulderlength wavy brunette locks blowing slightly in the light wind. He then interlaced his fingers and stretched forward as he exited the office building, his sculpted biceps flexing and then relaxing on that mild day of early autumn. It was not yet necessary to have a jacket, but the loss of hot sun was more than welcome. He looked around, his striking blue eyes watching the leaves in their slow descent from branch to ground.
Jared continued on his way, walking away from the large marketing firm. He didn't work there, but he had been assigned to check a few things out- the place had seemed sketchy to The Faction. Of course, under The Empress, everything was sketchy. Life was hard, and it was easy to be arrested and locked away forever- without a trial or even being told your crime. Jared caught glares and glances from many guardians of The Code- which was the laws everyone was forced to follow.
The reason behind the glares? It was rather simple. Jared was muscular. Not a bodybuilder, but stronger than your average male- someone who either played a lot of football or did a lot of fighting- the latter the truth. Under The Code, anything even remotely related to violence or freethinking was highly illegal, and a crime against her eminence. How Jared hated that black haired woman in red- she had used a brilliant military coup to take over the United States, which was now a nameless land of tyranny. The Faction- of which he was a member- fought her every way possible. Though many of them died or were locked up.
But Jared was one of the best, and being locked up wasn't his style. The excessively handsome man smirked lightly, seeing one of the thinner guards tense up. He shrugged and walked on, staring at the cold gray city before him....

Zira was a tall slender youth her face was always graced by near emotionlessness. why no one realy knew she was beautifull however her long black hair fell to her mid back her bangs seemed to cradle her thin face. a smile graced her full lips. her eyes where a beautifull purple color with green rimms. her body was a perfict hour glass double-d cups held her vlumptious breast. she wore a balck top that had nothing in the way of straps other then thin peaces of ribbon. her pants where low ride blue jeans that hugged her wide hipps. she walked down the street her eyes hidden behind a ball cap that said Darkness in beautifull scroll work. she looked up from where she walked and saw a man. her eyes searched him lightly.

Jared cast his eyes towards the girl slightly, catching sight of her. His walk slowed slightly as he took the look of her in. Something seemed odd, but she was simply lovely. Quickly, he looked away, realizing what he had done. Staring was rude. Then he realized he had made eye contact. Great. Jared growled silently to himself. Now what to do?
He shook it off. Why was he being thrown like this. Who knew? As he went to continue down the road, he saw a newspaper. Jared picked it up slowly, his hands gripping the paper tightly- a grip that showed some hidden tension. The headline read-Leads on the wherabouts of the terrorist headquarters uncovered! Two members found, tortured. One killed, one escaped! Jared growled audibly this time.
Terrorists!?! They were now reduced to mere TERRORISTS!?! "Those bastards!" he said in a harsh whisper. He turned to the girl, a fire alight in the ocean eyes. "You, girl.... what do you think of these 'terrorists'?" he said emotionlessly.

"I do not know..." the girl said when the man she had spotted turned to growl at her. she then walked up to him and looked at him with a curious look. Zira looked at the paper with a frown. "They fight for a good cause i think...but...must they kill the bad guys in the process..." the girl looked to be about eighteen her eyes where soft and gentail but there seemed to be shallowness to them.

Jared was caught by her eyes momentarily, but then shook it off. "Sometimes the bad guys don't deserve to live. If they aren't killed, they'll just kill more of the 'terrorists'. " his voice was stern, and his eyes intense.
"Hey you!" a harsh voice yelled from behind them. Jared turned around quickly, muttered a curse word and grabbed Zira's arm, his strong grip almost painful but not quite. A guardian was coming up to question him, probably due to his reaction to the paper. In a mere moment, Jared had bolted off of the street and taken Zira with him.
He sighed as he went into a hidden doorway, to a rather abandoned and lost building. "Sorry. I don't want any chance of getting arrested. I promise I'm not kidnapping you" he chuckled lightly and smirked a little, his handsome face nearly playful.

when Zira was caught by the arm she followed almost like a rag doll her large eyes soft and showed little confusion to the events that where happening. when he spoke to her after they finaly ended up in safe area.
"I do not care...Kiddnapp me if you must..." the woman said softly she then forced a smile to him it looked so forced it was sad but there was something there that told it was force becuse she did not feel the emotion asciated with it.

"Why do you lie with your expression?" Jared said bluntly, brushing his ever falling hair out of his face. "If you don't want to smile then don't. There isn't much to smile about under the empress..." he nearly spat the womans name out as he said it. "What is your name anyway?" he asked, smiling at her softly- trying to make her feel safer with him.

"One cannot lie if they do not have...Sir i have few emotions that are my own i once was a mirror for the emotions of those around me...I no longer reflect..." she said lightly there seemed to be only a sligt bit of emotional tone in her voice. "But that does not matter i am Zira...Zira Kimthan" she said looking at him. her large eyes glinting softly as he looked at him.

"Jared." He said simply as he watched her. He was not watching with a scrutinizing eye, but a curious one. "A mirror, you say? How so? You just felt what every one else felt and never what you could have felt had you been left alone?" Jared was quiet for a moment longer. "I'm sorry, that sounds an awful lot like prying. Excuse me..."
