Seiryuu had been ignoring the bite mark on her neck ever since he had spotted it it was just rude to point out things like that he watched as her hand went to it as if he could tell what she was thinking. it was like he was marking every little move she maked noting it and assimlating it. as if...if he got enough information about her he could read her every throught thru her momevents. It was a disconcerting look. he looked away for a moment and walked up to a man sitting behind a podium waiting for costomers. He was an older gentilman balding He looked at Seiryuu.
"School started an hour ago..."
"Yeah...so...I want a room for me and my firend oh an a menu" Seiryuu said as if he owned the place the manager gritted his teeth lightly.
"Punk...shit...find since you help out so much..." the male rolled his eyes at Seiryuu who smirked lightly.

Tehra raised her sparkling teal eyes from the ground to catch Seiryuu staring at her as she touched the bite mark, her face surprisingly unguarded at the moment. She allowed the surprise to show and she stared at him for a moment as well, taking in his stare, and acknowledging the odd charge between them in that moment. Removing her hand, Tehra looked away from him, instead choosing to take in the looks of the place they were in.
"Its not from what it looks like its from." She said simply as she passed him, following the owner to a room. And that was true, it looked like it was a bite given in a moment of romantic passion. And while it was a bite given in a passionate moment, it wasn't that type of passion.

Seiryuu frowned for a moment before giving a grin as the male lead them to a booth.
"Ohh...so you didn't get it fighting an evil vampire who distarcted you...." he said joking around as he walked towards the boot. Part of him knew that was no bite from a lover but that was the part of him he was trying his hardest to ignore. He sighed to himself running a hand thru his hair then turning back to look at her with a smile.
"You like to sing?" he asked "Cus you can go first" he laughed.

"Well then I suppose that it is what you think it is." She grinned, glad that he knew that. "He marked me, which sucks. Means I'll run into him again. Should be an easy kill though, but marks hurt for a few days after they happen, and it puts the vampires essence in you. So, as far as vampires are concerned, at the moment I belong to the one from last night. Which is weird. Makes me feel like a pet. But I've been marked before, they go away after you kill the vampire, although their charm works better when you're marked, Its a very sick game of tag that nature decided to grace us with." Tehra chuckled, taking a seat in the room.
"I like to sing, but I'm no superstar. It was your idea... you should go first." She said with a grin, handing him the microphone.

Seiryuu shrugged when she spoke wanting to get off the supernatural topic he handed her the menu as the manager left.
"When you decided what you want just press the button there he'll come back and take the order" Seiryuu said as he walked over to the machien turning it on lightly as he looked thru the song.

It would be difficult to be friends with Seiryuu, no matter how much she wanted too. He was deathly afraid of talking about the supernatural and that was what her entire life was centered around. Perhaps they weren't compatible personalities, or perhaps he just needed to warm up to her a bit. She wasn't sure. But it would be challenging to spend time with someone who can't stand everything that you are. Very, very uncomfortable.
She looked over the menu so as to distract herself from him completely shoving off the conversation, selecting something and pushing the button placing her order. Tehra then turned back to Seiryuu to see what he selected and how he sang.

Seiryuu slowly picked his song as he grabbed the mic looking strangly serious as he checked the mic. the music started slowly a rythmatic sound as he closed his eyes lightly trying to remember the words with his heart and not his mind.
"Shipwreck in the sea of faces, There's a dreamy world up there, Dear friends in higher places, Carry me away from here, Travel light let the sun eclipse you, 'Cause your flight is about to leave, And there's more to this brave adventure, Than you'd ever believe,"
He sang the first verse with his eyes closed as he let the emotions carry his voice witch wasn't bad. slowly he opened his eyes as he continued.
"Birdseye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you, Wide eyes will always brighten the blue, Chase your dreams, and remember me, speak bravery, Because after all those wings will take you, up so high, So bid the forest a fond goodbye, as you brace the wind and, Take to the sky, On the hills of lore and wonder, There's a stormy world up there, You can't whisper above the thunder, But you can fly anywhere, Purple burst of paper birds this, Picture paints a thousand words, So take a breath of mist and mystery, And don't look back!"
He smiled as he continue to sing his body moving to the music his hair moving with his movements as he sung however his eyes seemed to be looking up as if they were seeing past the celing into the very sky it's self.
"Birdseye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you, Wide eyes will always brighten the blue, Chase your dreams, and remember me, speak bravery, Because after all those wings will take you, up so high, So bid the forest a fond goodbye, as you brace the wind and, Take to the sky,"
It was almost as if he had wings himself huge white wings of an angel as he sung but it was just his emense aura seeming to leak from him as he let the emotions of the song carry him. "There's a realm above the trees, Where the lost are finally found, Touch your feathers to the breeze, And leave the ground, Birdseye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you, Wide eyes will always brighten the blue, Chase your dreams, and remember me, speak bravery, Because after all those wings will take you, up so high, So bid the forest a fond goodbye, as you brace the wind and, Take to the sky, Birdseye view, awake the stars 'cause they're all around you, Wide eyes will always brighten the blue, Chase your dreams, and remember me, speak bravery, Because after all those wings will take you, up so high, So bid the forest a fond goodbye, as you brace the wind and, Take to the sky."
As he finished he looked back at her and smiled an almost sheepish smile.
"S-sorry must have gotten carried away" he laughed.

As she listened to him, Tehra felt like she was getting to view a private part of his soul that she shouldn't see. It was uncomfortable but addicting. As she watched him sing, everything else went away. She didn't remember the night before or the bite or her dark existence, just the hope that he exuded with every ounce of his soul. It was uplifting, but heartbreaking at the same time. What had made him hate himself so much?
After he finished, Tehra had to shake off the emotions he'd filled her with. It took a long moment. "Don't apologize, it was so honest, it was beautiful." She said, standing up and perusing the songs herself.
As she found one, Tehra started the music, closing her eyes as well.
All around me are familiar faces Worn out places, worn out faces Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere Their tears are filling up their glasses No expression, no expression Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kinda funny I find it kinda sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very mad world mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday And I feel the way that every child should Sit and listen, sit and listen Went to school and I was very nervous No one knew me, no one knew me Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson Look right through me, look right through me
And I find it kinda funny I find it kinda sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very mad world ... mad world Enlarging your world Mad world
Her voice was good enough, certainly not a voice that would make an angel choir sing, but not at all unpleasant to listen too. And the emotions in it were quite sad, especially because as she spoke of dying it was clear she had a good understanding of what that was like. And it was clear she very profoundly and very honestly felt the disconnect with the world that the lyrics described. It was like she was in the world, but not an active participant, an important contributor, but one no one knew about, and there was a cold truth in that. No one thanked the Guardian, for humans never even knew there was something to be guarded against. As she finished, Tehra replaced the mic, her face said for a moment before she put her guards back up and lifted her teal gaze to Seiryuu to see his reaction.

Seiryuu listened quietly as she sung his eyes intensely watching her boring into her as she barred her soul in the song as it was that same piercing gaze he had given her the first time they had met that look that told you he saw straight into you and knew you better then you knew yourself. his lips were pursed lightly as he looked into her eyes his intense eyes looking straight into her. when she finished he didn't speak for a moment before finally parting his lips lightly to speak.
"They say the eyes...are the windows to the soul" he said still giving her that look the look of someone who knew everything....ever bleak deed done every destructive nature you held. "...the truth is...the eyes say nothing compared to the voice....A person's voice contained hidden modulations that one can empathize with..." he seemed to be speaking to her yet not at the same time.
"at least thats what I've been told" he said as he suddenly grinned like a cheshire and banged his hand on the button. "Hey pops while your getting the food bring in some beer to" he laughed.
"NO YOUR UNDER AGED" the voice said on the intercom and he shrugged.
"Ahh well I tried" he laughed.

Tehra held his gaze just as firmly as he was holding hers. The electricity sparking up between them was getting very hard to ignore, but Tehra just gazed at him as he spoke, her full lips slightly parted as she let him search her soul. It was all visible- the wide innocence that she tried to so hard to keep in her eyes, the intimate unwanted knowledge of the dark that always threatened to make an appearance in her at any given moment, and the simple, quiet sadness that came with being a captive of your own fate. Let him stare, she thought to herself, let him see every open wound and poorly bandaged injury coming from her lifestyle.
"I suppose you are correct..." Tehra spoke, softly, after a long moment "voices can betray us when we sing especially. Perhaps I should have chosen something less honest. But you were honest with me, and I wanted to be honest with you." She said, sitting down across from him, the electricity completely evaporating as he asked for beer.
"Oh well, guess we can't always win. Its early in the day to be drinking anyways..." She shrugged, grinning at him, the honesty of the previous moments nearly completely gone.

Sieryuu shrugged he had mostly done it to snapp himself out of his mind.
"Naw never to early for a beer" he laughed as he leaned forward. he had that strange smile it wasn't the smile of someone who was innocent or even a simple smile to hide sadness...no that smile was hiding somthing much darker hatred. He grinned at her. the hate wasn't for her tho it was for himself for what he really was.
"You have a nice voice you lied you could become a super star if you wanted to you have the looks to" he laughed.

"I'm not a big fan of beer personally." Tehra said, still disguising her confusion and apprehension towards him. At least she'd figured out he wasn't trying to kill her. But that smile could make a girl swoon and make a psychiatrist prescribe medication.
"And while I appreciated the compliment, being a singer wouldn't really work with my schedule. I'd never get sleep.." Tehra said with a laugh, taking a sip of her drink.

Seiryuu crossed his arms lightly and nodded.
"Yeah bet not...I was going to start taking writing classes this simester but....didn't work out that way...I got caught up in helping a firend of mine that I forgot to turn the paper in soon enough they gave me random classes...sooo...I'm stuck with home ec." he laughed as he said it the food being delivered to the room by the older male who it seemed had decided to include a root beer in with the order as he smirked at Seiryuu.
"You know you suck right old man...damn...here I am busting my ass to kick out your slackers free of pay and this is what I get" he said it in a sarcastic manner before smiling at the man. "Thanks anyways" he said geuienly.
"Yeah sure kid...you need to stop drinking tho...your under aged you don't want to end up like that kid a month ago..." he said as Seiryuu shrugged lightly. The male left as seiryuu opened his root beer lightly.

"Sounds like you're a good person, people just don't often see it that way." Tehra observed, taking the first few bites of her food. "You seem to have everyone's best interest at heart, and in exchange for helping them you suffer. Its hardly fair, but its commendable" Tehra added. continuing to eat.
"Do you enjoy writing? Or did you just need the class? Honestly I don't know why I still bother with school. It's clear to me what I will spending the rest of my life doing." Which would be a long time considering she was immortal and could only be killed in battle, not by any natural cause. Which was a pretty rotten thing once you thought about. Any other immortals she'd met she'd killed. Perhaps a good vampire roamed the city somethere to live out her eternal existence with her. It was doubtful, but that thought gave her hope. But she was getting too much in her head and needed to think on something else. "What do you want to do for a living?"

"well truthfully I wanna write...been my dream for awhile now but, my dad said it's stupid he wants me to take over the shrine from him..." he sighed as he said it putting his feet up on the lower bar of the table as he leaned back thinking. "I suppose I could do both but my dad doesn't see it that way it's either one or the other" he smirked as he said it.
"So I decided I would start taking writing classes and get a job and move out...only....that didn't work kept missing work and you already heard what happened with the class thing" he said laughing. "Ahh well...maybe next time... I don't have to look after Mazuki anymore...." the way he said it seemed odd as he looked up at the celing his eyes where somehow softer. He had given up on her but, the feelings sometimes still cropped up from time to time.

"Man sounds like a major pain." Tehra said, continuing to eat and starting to relax a little more. "I say try both. Writing can be done anywhere, you don't need a degree to do that. And you can take the class another time" Tehra said, noticing the tinge in his voice as he mentioned that girl again. Seemed she meant something to him, though Tehra was kind enough not to pry. She felt that would be too far, after all her barely knew her.
"What do you enjoy doing besides drinking and karaoke?" She asked, attempting to keep the subject lighthearted.

Seiryuu looked at her and smirked as she asked.
"Arcades hanging out...you know the normal teenage things...I'm the captain of the Kendo club...tho...there about to kick me out because of grades they've been slipping the past few months because of others things that have been going on" he said with a laugh.
"Bah who needs school anyways dad says I should get my diploma at least but the way things are going I think I may get flunked out" he said jovially as he drank his root beer. "Oh that reminds me we have a killer nightclub in town I love to hang out there with the others when they can come anyways sometime I'm there alone" he said with a smile.

"Ha! Nightlife... never had the oppurtunity to do that, suppose I never will. Although I do find lots predators just outside them. Prime hunting grounds for vamps. Drunk women love a smooth vampire." She chuckled, trying to forget the fact that she was currently marked by one of them. Being marked was such a pain in the ass, not to mention that nagging fear that this may be the one vampire that's stronger than her will. She shook it off. These damn thoughts wouldn't leave her alone.
"Well you don't want to sell yourself short. I bet you could finish and get it, but if you don't want too then don't do it, there's no need to stress out over something that's not important to you." She shrugged, brushing a pink curl from in front of her face. It was odd being in a dress, it made Tehra feel like she was pretty for the first time in months. Battle gear, while fierce, wasn't exactly conducive to feeling soft and pretty.

"dont get me wrong I wan't to pass school I might be able to now..."he frowned as he said it putting his hands behind his head. she was kinda right he did tend to sacrifice everything for everyone else. Now that he thought about it he rarely did anything for himself it was always for Mazuki or Kallen or the old man or a hundred other people who needed his help.
"Guess I can't help it...I must be a masochist" he said smirking not realizing how random what he said was. He sometimes forgot not everyone was as good at reading body language as he was. he looked at her lightly she wasn't use to the dress she probably hadn't worn one in a while the way she moved in it made it as clear as day to him. he frowned to himself it was probably that other one who had learned to do that.

"Well it's good that you want to finish. It sounds like a good thing that your friend doesn't need your help anymore. Although, its bad she still needs help at all." Tehra said, smoothing down the dress. At least she looked good in it, after many nights of warring, she'd be damned if she didn't have a great toned body. It was nice to feel pretty, but she didn't feel like herself. She felt like the girl that had existed before she'd died. That person was so far away now. She'd been so naive yet she thought she knew it all. She'd believed that murderers and the rapists were the worst things out there, and that death was final to all who it came upon. Except for her.
"Must be..." Tehra grinned, looking over the table at him. He was really a good looking guy, even taking into account the creepy smile and the odd way he had moments of naked honesty followed by that fake grin. What an interesting individual. Certainly more interesting than anyone she'd met recently.
